The Special Academic Program (SAP) is established by the Board of Trustees under Board Resolution No. 010 S.07 of Eulogio "Amang" Rodriguez Institute of Science and Technology (EARIST) It offers a non-traditional degree program in trimester base for Bachelor, Master and Doctorate Degree Programs for Overseas Filipinos who stay abroad and foreigners who want to share the culture and education with Philippines.

Eulogio "Amang" Rodriguez Institute of Science and Technology (EARIST) was established after the liberation of Manila in 1945. EARIST traces back its development from that of a vocational high school with only a room at the second floor of the Mapa High School, nine teachers, a clerk, and 147 students under Mr. Pantaleon Regala, its principal. Its former name was Eulogio Rodriguez Vocational High School (ERVHS).
